How To Get Me To Wear A Skirt

NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, I WILL EXPLAIN HOW. You may remember that I will be running the Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare to raise money for the Lazarex Cancer Foundation. We’re getting down to the wire on the fundraising, and I still need your help to reach my goal. So let’s up the stakes.

Why Did You Get Healthy?

EVERYONE SEEMS TO ASK WHY I DECIDED TO LOSE WEIGHT. To be fair, the question is usually “Why did you make a change now?” Or “Why did you start running?” The answer to the first question is simply that I realized I was embarrassed of the person I had become. Running With Purpose

I AM RUNNING THE DISNEYLAND DUMBO DOUBLE DARE FOR THE TEAM FOR LIFE, AND I NEED YOUR HELP. At the end of August, I will spend two days at Disneyland in Anaheim running: on Saturday, August 31st I will run the inaugural DIsneyland 10K, and on Sunday, September 1st I will run the Disneyland Half Marathon. Even 6 months ago, when I started this journey to lose weight and get fit, I still would have told you that you were nuts if you thought I could run a mile, never mind finish a race. But after running a 5K, a four-miler, and now an 8K, I’m completely sold on running. So much so that I just signed up for the 2013 Walt...

Personal Records Have to Start Somewhere

I RAN MY FIRST 5K RACE ON SATURDAY. There’s actually a lot more to this story than completing a race, but just like my PRs, I have to start somewhere. I came to the race expecting to run most of it and walk about 3 or 4 minutes in the middle, and left with a very different result that amazed me.
